DAY 1 - MEXICO CITY
Arrival to Mexico. Meeting with our guide at the airport, transfer and check in at hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 2 - MEXICO CITY
Departure to the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, located 50 km northeast of Mexico City. Teotihuacan is one of the most fascinating and important cities of the Aztec culture. We will explore temples, palaces and pyramids, as Quetzalpapálotl Palace complex, the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, the Pyramid of the Moon and the immense del Sol, one of the largest in the world. After lunch, we will return to Mexico City, the ancient capital of the Aztecs. After a brief stop at the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Queen of Mexico and Empress of America, the world’s most visited sanctuary, we will visit the Zocalo, the main square, one of the largest in the world. Around the square you will find the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace, where Diego Rivera murals tell the story of Mexico. Then we will continue to the famous Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, built during the short reign of Emperor Maximilian to connect with the main Chapultepec Castle Square. We will arrive at the National Museum of Anthropology, which contains multiple rooms of the pre-Columbian legacy, not only from Mexico but throughout all Mesoamerica and is the perfect introduction to the rest of the trip. Return to the hotel at night. Accommodation.

DAY 3 - MEXICO CITY, TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport and flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez, the Chiapas state capital. Arrival and transfer to the pier of Chiapa de Corzo. We will take a boat through the Grijalva River, discovering the Grand Canyon Gully (depth of one kilometer and 14kms long), and we will be able to observe monkeys, crocodiles, and many other animals typical to the area. After lunch, we will continue the trip to San Cristobal de Las Casas. Arrival and check in at hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 4 - SAN JUAN CHAMULA, ZINACANTÁN
Today we explore the small town of San Cristobal, going from the Cathedral to the market to finish in the church of Santo Domingo, built in the sixteenth century. Departure to the mountains of Chiapas where the Tzotzil Indians of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan live. You will learn how the pre-Columbian deities and Catholic religion live together in an atmosphere of great mysticism. Lunch and and rest of the afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.

DAY 5 - SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, CASCADAS DE AGUA AZUL, PALENQUE
Morning departure to Palenque. On the way, we will stop at Agua Azul to admire the scenery consisting of a system of more than 500 waterfalls of turquoise water surrounded by jungle. Lunch. Arrival to Palenque and check in at hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 6 - PALENQUE, CAMPECHE
In the morning, we will visit the archaeological site of Palenque, UNESCO Cultural Heritage. The site, of enormous importance to the Mayans between 600 and 800 D.C., is composed of more than 500 buildings of which only a few have been brought to light. All of this is even more fascinating by toucans and howler monkeys living in the jungle. After lunch, we will continue to the city of Campeche. Accommodation.

DAY 7 - CAMPECHE , UXMAL , MÉRIDA
Departure from Campeche to the archaeological site of Uxmal, UNESCO Cultural Heritage. The characteristic of the architectural style ” Puuc ” consists of low and rectangular buildings with central gardens surrounded by columns with inscriptions dedicated primarily to Chac, the rain God. Departure to Merida after lunch. Time at leisure to discover this interesting city, capital of Yucatan. Accommodation.

DAY 8 - MÉRIDA, CHICHÉN-ITZÁ , CANCÚN OR RIVIERA MAYA
Departure from Merida to Chichen Itza, another UNESCO Cultural Heritage and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Chichén Itzá is one of the best preserved archaeological sites of the Mayan World. We will discovered the Pyramid of Kukulkan, symbol of the city, the largest field of “play ball ” of Mesoamerica, and the “Sacred Cenote." After lunch, we will travel to Cancun or the Riviera Maya, where the program will be ending.
