SAN JOSE
Costa Rica’s capital, San José, is in the Central Valley. It’s an extensive plain, guarded by majestic volcanoes and green hills, honoring the natural richness that exists throughout the national territory. Founded in the first half of the eighteenth century, San José is nowadays a city where visitors of the entire world converge; metropolis full of interesting places, faces, and colors reflecting the history of a population.
JACO BEACH
Playa Jaco is the closest beach to San Jose, the Central Valley and is one of the most visited coastal destinations in Costa Rica. The beach is a 2.5 mile (4 km) strip which offers world renowned surfing and more. Much like Costa Rica’s metropolitan areas, Jaco’s offers most services, such as a post office, health center and branches of major banks. Furthermore, there are an abundance of surf shops, hotels and restaurants affordable for the budget travelers as well as those wishing to live a bit more luxuriously.

DAY 1 - SAN JOSE
Arrival Meet and greet at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Transfer to Best Western Irazú. Accommodation.

DAY 2 - SAN JOSE, JACO BEACH
Breakfast in the hotel. Shuttle transfer to Jacó Beach (2.5 hrs approximately).
The Central Pacific shelters the closest beaches to the capital city. Among the most popular are Herradura, Jaco, Dominical and the ones at Manuel Antonio National Park. They enjoy the characteristics of a very hot and humid climate, with a season of brilliant sunshine from December through the end of April and warm waters all year long. Jaco is located less than two hours away from the capital city, and offers a great variety of attractions in adventure tourism and ecotourism. The road that goes to this beach is in very good conditions so it’s very easy to access with any type of vehicle. This is one of the favorite sites for surfers worldwide. The beach is almost 3 km long, with gray sands, crystal-clear waters and moderate to strong waves. Swimmers must watch out. Surfing is one of the most attractive activity in the beach of Jaco. There are several surf schools, and many surf tournaments take place throughout the year in Jaco and in near-by Playa Hermosa.The town of Jaco, in front of the beach, has many different facilities such as public and private services, stores, banks, cybercafés, condos, camping centers, supermarkets, bars, different types of restaurants and discotheques. Departure (B) Breakfast. Private transfer to Juan Santamaría International airport. Check in at airline counter must be done three hours prior to flight departure.
