RIO

Rio de Janeiro was the capital of the Portuguese empire and of the country up until 1960. Nicknamed A Cidade Maravilhosa – “The Marvelous City” is world renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and location, nestled between steep, green mountains and crystal clear seas. Rio is one of the most important cultural and economical cities in Brazil and features some of country’s most famous attractions such as the Pão de Açúcar, the Corcovado, and Copacabana and Ipanema beach.

SALVADOR DE BAHIA

Bahia situated on the NE coast of Brazil is a lovely tropical state with white sandy beaches, coconut groves, golden sunshine, refreshing blue seas and great weather year-round. It is the heart of Brazil. Once the economic, cultural and political center of the South Atlantic, Bahia is colonial, modern and mystical.

Day 1

RIO: Arrival to Rio de Janeiro – Sugar Loaf.  Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, the city of mountains and sea, samba and carnival, and a relaxed way of life. You'll be transferred  to your hotel along Copacabana Beach. You will begin your trip with a cable car ascent of Sugar Loaf Mountain, a tour of city sights, and a ride along the world-famous beaches.  Accommodation.

Day 3

RIO: Day at leisure to relax on the beach or enjoy the sidewalk cafes. Accommodation.

Day 2

RIO: You will be taken to one of the Wonders of the World: The statue of Christ the Redeemer, which crowns the top of the Corcovado mountain with stunning views of Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema below. Accommodation.

Day 4

RIO, SALVADOR: Fly to Salvador, where Brazil was born and the country's early history remains, both in colonial monuments and African folk culture. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Get acquainted with the main folkloric manifestations of the Bahian culture! Accommodation.

Day 5

SALVADORA historical tour of Salvador ventures from the colonial-era slave auction site and grandiose baroque Sao Francisco Church, to the newer Upper City.  Accommodation.

Day 6

SALVADOR:  Enjoy a day at leisure to perhaps take in an optional tour to nearby cocoa plantations, cigar factories, and the pretty colonial towns of Cachoeira and Santo Amaro.  Accommodation.

Day 7

SALVADOR: After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your overnight flight back home.
